I am currently a freshman, journalism major at the University of Missouri at Columbia. I graduated from high school with a 3.8 GPA.
Experience
I have tutored one person pro bono. His German grade went up a letter grade, and his overall study habits improved. I have gotten full credit on both of the AP tests I took in high school, and as such I believe my study skills are noteworthy. I wish to be a tutor for two reasons. The first is money, of course, but the second reason is that I do actually enjoy feeling like I helped teach someone something. In high school, I took two years of German, an AP chemistry course, and an AP American History course. I mention those because they were my most challenging and because I did well. I also took honors Drama, which I feel helped me gain a better understanding of literature.

Hobbies
I am an enormous fan of television, movies, and music. Were I not constantly inundated with required reading for my college courses, I'd probably put books in that list as well. That being said, I enjoy spending time with my friends, and I value the time I spend hanging out immensely. I suppose that you could say I'm the average college student. I watch Comedy Central, I study hard, and when I can, I make sure I have time for the people in my life.
