Andrew E.
Private tutor in Columbia, MO
Education
I am a senior Secondary Education Biology and Biology major at the University of Missouri with a 3.41 GPA This will be my last year at MU before starting my student teaching in the fall of 2014.
Experience
As an Education major I have done pre-service teaching in many of the local high schools including: Rock Bridge High School, David H. Hickman HS, and Muriel W. Battle HS. At these high schools, I have worked both in general Biology and Honors Biology classrooms. I have been working very hard to prepare myself for becoming a high school biology teacher, as well as performing well in college. Some of the course I have taken include: General Biology, Genetics, Cell Biology, Animal Physiology, Evolution, and Ecology. Also, I take part in many extracurricular activities which include working with the College of Education Ambassadors at MU and volunteering at the local food bank. In order to prepare myself for a teaching career, tutoring is the perfect way for me to help students through many forms of educational interventions and methods. My background in education gives me many strategies to help struggling students, or just tips/tricks to keep ahead in the classroom.
