EducationAlumni English and Sociology major at Saginaw Valley State University; 3.2 GPA
Experience5+ years tutor/editor for English composition, ESL, TESOL, TOEFL, Literature, and Sociology.
I spent two summers as an intern in Washington D.C. at the Department of Labor. I worked as a writer, editor, and youth advocate.
I am excellent as an editor, proof-reader, and can assist with content development as well. If you're an undergraduate or graduate student, feel free to contact me.
I have also assisted students in preparing for high school equivalency (G.E.D), ACT & SAT, and AP Preparation. In the community, I have extensive volunteer experience. I served as a mentor and instructor at the Boys and Girls Club of America, The American Red Cross, and a domestic violence shelter. I've also spent time as a tour guide at a city hall, and local historical museum.
I worked as a substitute teacher for three years. I've taught in elementary, middle and high school classes teaching English, Literature, Social Studies, and Natural Science. I also regularly worked in special education classrooms. I enjoy working with students to improve their academic and personal skills.
