ExperienceI am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching Science and Public Health. I graduated from the University of Missouri with three degrees. I received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science, a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. After graduation, I moved to the Boston area to pursue a master's degree in Public Health. While in college I tutored students in a many different areas, including Writing, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Psychology, and Spanish. Additionally, I taught ELL to refugees in Boston for two years. While I am comfortable teaching many different subjects, I am passionate about writing and public health. My philosophy as a tutor is to adapt the material to each individual student. I have experience tutoring students from the Midwest, students from New England at a graduate level, and students from West Africa at a high school level. This wide range of students has taught me that there isn't one teaching style that works for everyone. I am particularly adept at making every subject I teach both interesting and relevant. Additionally, I also believe that collaboration is vitally important for students to achieve success in academics. In my free time, I enjoy watching international films and documentaries, traveling, and trying international foods.
