(August, 2012-Present) -I was a member of the Scholarship Committee for my sorority. I tutored fellow college students in English, Spanish, History, Political Science, Philosophy and Writing. (August 2009-May 2012) Why I want to be a tutor: -I am passionate about tutoring one-on-one with people of any age. I love finding new and creative ways to teach subject matter. Seeing people learn a new concept or improve on test scores or organization is fulfilling on a personal and professional level. Relevant Experience/Courses: -Fluent in Spanish (Reading, Writing and Speaking) -Lived and studied in Spain for 7 months -Completed an Honor's Thesis in History in August 2012 which required extensive research. -Liberal Arts education at the University of Missouri-Columbia which allowed me to take a wide variety of classes in subjects like Geology, Philosophy, Spanish, History, etc.
