I have recently completed my Master's degree and enjoy my job as media specialist:

Experience--Missouri Elementary Teaching Certificate, 1st-6th Grade
--Missouri Early Childhood Teaching Certificate, Birth-3rd
--Missouri Media Specialist Certificate, K-12
--Past: preschool, undergraduate instructor (as a graduate student)
--Current: K-5 media specialist
In a classroom setting, I have taught preschool, K-5 as a media specialist, and a college course at the University of Missouri as a graduate assistant.
--Volunteered as an elementary tutor at Title I schools in Springfield, MO and in Columbia with A Way With Words And Numbers.
--Worked as a peer tutor at Missouri State University.
--I would like to be a tutor to help students combat the "summer slide" and improve their reading and writing skills. I also like to keep busy through summer months and enjoy using my skills to help others succeed.
HobbiesI love learning new things through reading--from cooking to where to find Atlantis (there are many theories, by the way!); exploring creativity with quilting and other needlework activities, and seeing new places with my husband. Its great to find someplace an hour away we have never heard of and find out what it is like! We also enjoy swing dancing and visiting our family.
