Bachelor's in East Asian Languages and Cultures from Columbia University in New York, Class of 2017. Course of study focused on Korean history, Korean language, and Chinese language, as well as Columbia's common core of Western classics of literature, philosophy, art, and music.
Experience
TEFL Certification for teaching English as a second language completed in April of 2017. Volunteer English teacher for 5 weeks in the summer of 2016 at a private academy in southern China. Taught a class of middle school students and a class of adults each for three hours per day. Tutored as a volunteer in the ESL Resource room at Hickman High School as a senior in the 2012-2013 school year. Helped students with homework in various subjects including English, math, science, and history as needed. I am preparing to move to South Korea to teach English in the fall, and would be excited to help tutor students of all ages during the summer before I leave. ACT: 35
